2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT Raises the Bar for Performance
The all new 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT has significantly raised the bar, not only for Jeep, but for their many rivals and imitators. The new SRT stresses high performance at its best. The design, and concept, has come from Chrysler’s Racing Technology Group. It comes powered by a massive 6.4 liter V8 Hemi engine that cranks out 470 horsepower and can get to 60 MPH in just over four seconds.
The all new 2014 SRT also comes with a diesel engine option that can get an amazing 30 MPG out on the highway. In addition, it can easily handle speeds approaching 200 MPH. It’s 4×4 air suspension technology, combined with an eight speed automatic transmission, puts the power and muscle of a truck together with the maneuverability and performance of a finely made sports car.
The feel of a high performance racing car extends into the interior. The seats are comfortable buckets and the dash and cabin are about as high tech as you can expect in such a high performance rig. The instrument dash is finely laid out and the flat screen navigation system connects to Jeep’s vaunted UConnect system. Though unlikely to get much more than a dozen or so miles to the gallon, the all new 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT is a vehicle made for those who are less concerned with mileage and more concerned with power and performance.
