2014 Jeep Cherokee Goes Global
Chrysler is in the process of going global with the Jeep name. With the anticipated release of the 2014 Jeep Cherokee featuring the fuel efficient Tigershark engine, this may be the year Chrysler meets and possibly surpasses its goal to sell 800,000 vehicles.
As far as annual sales, Jeep has been behind Toyota, Ford and Chevrolet in recent years. It’s difficult to beat out other car companies when Jeep solely manufactures SUVs. So agreements with other countries have been made in order to locally manufacture and sell Jeep vehicles where they had previously been strictly imported.
It was unclear whether or not the scheduled release date for the new Cherokee would be delayed due to transmission issues, but thankfully the issues were investigated and are being resolved before the new SUV rolls onto the parking lot. So if you live in countries like China, Italy or Brazil, you too can have the opportunity to enjoy a new 2014 Jeep Cherokee very soon.
You may have heard that the Jeep Compass and Jeep Patriot will be discontinued. That is only half true. Patriot lovers will unfortunately have to say goodbye to that particular line of SUV, but the good news is the Jeep Compass will be with us for at least a few more years. And there are plans to bring back a blast from the past: The Jeep Wagoneer. Before you get too upset, there will soon be a new vehicle announced that will replace the Compass and Patriot.
If you already drive a Jeep Cherokee, congratulations! You are a front-runner for what will soon become an international sensation. If you don’t own one yet, and want to be a part of the new sensation, come by and let us show you what the rest of the world will soon get to experience!
