Jeep Grand Cherokee and Dodge Challenger Win Ideal Vehicle Award
It has been an outstanding year for both the Jeep Grand Cherokee and the Dodge Challenger, and, by the looks of it, things are getting even better for both vehicles. That is to say, it was recently announced that both the Jeep Grand Cherokee and the Dodge Challenger have won AutoPacific’s “Most Ideal Mid-Size SUV” and “Most Ideal Sporty Car” awards, respectively. What this means is that, out of all the vehicles out there, those who own and/or drive a 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee and a 2016 Dodge Challenger have made it quite known that they own or drive a vehicle that either meets or completely blows away their expectations.
It is very true that both of these vehicles seem to dominate in both of their respective categories. All in all, this will mark the Jeep Grand Cherokee’s sixth year in a row being named “Most Ideal Mid-Size SUV” and the Dodge Challenger’s fourth year winning the award for the sporty car section. “The Jeep Grand Cherokee has been a consistent winner in AutoPacific’s Ideal Vehicle Award research,” noted George Peterson, President of AutoPacific, Inc. “For the last six years, Grand Cherokee owners have rated the vehicle as the SUV best targeted to its owners’ wants and needs. Grand Cherokee owners want very little changed. This is a testament to the excellence Jeep planners, designers, and engineers have in understanding exactly what their customers want.” Too, Peterson went on with regard to the Dodge Challenger, stating: “The Dodge Challenger has a wide product range that provides what Sporty Car drivers want. Challenger has hit its target out-pouring Sporty Car competitors in Ideal Vehicle attributes.”
And these awards are quite prestigious. That is, the AutoPacific Ideal Vehicle Awards are based on the responses from well over 65,000 individuals who own a new model year 2015 and/or 2016 vehicle from a number of different automakers. After approximately 90 days of ownership, the customers are then surveyed with questions concerning if they thought or would like any changes made to their vehicle. The questions cover a range of 15 categories, which include the likes of ride and handling, interior storage, safety features, power and acceleration, as well as technology.
